Martha Meng

Martha MengMs. Meng has represented long term care providers, including numerous nursing homes and assisted living communities, for over 15 years. Her practice includes advising these clients regarding federal and state regulatory developments, licensure, risk management issues, litigation, real estate, financing and other transactional work, and representation in federal and state regulatory, civil and criminal proceedings. She serves as primary general counsel to the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities, Inc., a 175-member association of Connecticut nursing home providers.

Ms. Meng is a member and former Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Continuing Care for the Connecticut Commissioner of Social Services, and served as a member of the Connecticut Department of Public Health Working Group which developed Connecticut's assisted living regulations. Ms. Meng has also served as a member of the Legal Subcommittee of the American Health Care Association and as a Founding Director and Secretary of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association. Formerly a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Ms. Meng has lectured nationally on many aspects of long term care, including presentations for the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Health Care Association, the Assisted Living Federation of America, other provider groups and educational institutions.
