Brenda Abbott-Shultz RN, MBA,

has more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry, serving in a variety of leadership roles. Over the years, she has worked to educate others on the topic of sexuality and relationships in seniors, encouraging dialogue on the topic among seniors, their caregivers, and their families.
Abbott-Shultz provides clinical oversight of Benchmark’s assisted living communities, directing the development of resident care guidelines, standards, and practices and overseeing regulatory compliance, risk management, and quality improvement programs. She is a member of the Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut Assisted Living Facilities associations and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. She also serves on the Assisted Living Federation of America’s Clinical Quality Roundtable, the Massachusetts Assisted Living Facilities Association Quality Committee, and sits on several industry related advisory boards.
